MY ROLE

I worked alongside a fellow UX designer, web and mobile engineers, the product team, and a content designer to create the Rocket Mortgage refinance application. We successfully designed it to be accessible on mobile devices, desktop computers, and tablets within a rapid timeline of less than three months, from concept to implementation.

WHY IS THIS IMPORTANT

This update gives the refinance experience a consistent look and feel with other Rocket products, as well as modernized design and code.  

WHAT WE DID

We updated each individual component on every RMA refinance page. This helped us discover and fix design, content, and code inconsistencies that hadn’t been addressed for years.  

This was no small feat! To cover the entire refinance application, our teams broke down the work into 22 features that contained a total of 70 stories. There were 85 components implemented and over 370 files worked on.

NEXT STEPS

As always, we’ll continue to monitor our clients’ experience with tools like Glassbox and Adobe Analytics to track any pain points or issues, as well as actively ensure our clients are delighted by the new changes.
